I was flicking through this months Flyer magazine and came across an advert for the AvMap EKP IV.



This 7" device is used primarily in portrait mode and features a pseudo HSI at the top, chunky data readouts and the chart at the bottom:-







I think that would be a great option for those SkyDemon users with the bigger devices?

This is a very good point PinkLeader. As discussed a few weeks ago in our e-mail, I may have the opportunity to try the new SD instruments in Bagby after 2.00 on Saturday 7th May, weather permitting. I will be trying SD on a 5", 6" and a 7" sets to check which fits in the cockpit better. It would be nice to meet (if you're able) for a cuppa. Initially I seem to think the 5" would fit best and if this is the case I would be very reluctant to split a small screen further.

I have such a GPS and it works perfect, It is NOT trivial to work with, the EVK IV PRO has the option to search for street adresse, so if you are making areal photo it is great.

Only problem is that i can not download routes from SD as it has som special protocol unfortunately.
